Sponsored Walk

The Cathedral Strollers Walking Group will lead a long and a short walk on Saturday, March 6, 2010 in support of the Churches Together Salisbury Way of the Cross 2010.

The walk will start at 9.30am from the Tennis Court Car Park next to Salisbury Cathedral. Please park your car outside the Close. If you are walking you will need to bring appropriate footwear and clothing, a picnic lunch and a drink.

This community drama takes place at various stops around Salisbury’s city centre, starting in the early evening and culminating at Salisbury Cathedral.  Hundreds of actors, musicians, stage hands, and other volunteers are involved.  They come from churches, schools, choirs, and community groups all around the area.

But even with all of these volunteer helpers, there are inevitably expenses in such a huge enterprise.  The Way of the Cross 2010 committee has already raised £2,500 so the £10,000 goal is in sight, with your help.

I ask you to do two things:

The form above comes with the promise that the information we gather will ONLY be used for the Way of the Cross 2010.

This event will start at 7:00 PM for 7:45 in the Salisbury & South Wiltshire Museum, West Walk, The Cathedral Close. Hors d’oeuvres and one complimentary drink included with £5 advance admission charge/£6 at the door.
